DA Calculation Sheet

DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

  1. It was reported on 13-01-2011 that inflation has crossed 9.5% as per media information and the Govt. is striving hard to reduce the inflation rate before March, 2011. Let us now hope that we will definitedly get 9% d.a.from Jan, 2011

  2. DA will not be above 6% and allowances will get a increase of 25%.excluding HRA and travel allowance as travel allowance is based on grade pay.

  3. i think that dearness allowance should be 6 or 7%. Because in december 2010 has record inflation rate in food and vegetable. But in the government’s mathmatics did not catch food inflation and affected to consumer price index. so we expted d.a. should 6 or 7% as on 1.1.2011. and there is not clear about 25% allowance increase. Ther is no provision and clear what allowance would increase. so please wait for government’s announcement for dearness allowance and 25% allowance increasing announcement. We purchased food an vegetable on near home market products but government mathmatics toward shimla and other resources. But government did not take fgure home market simble. so please government channel kind attentioned on this subject issue.

  4. We can expect maximum 7 percent DA increment. However govt should merge 50 pc DA with basic once DA crosses 50 benchmark contrary to the recomendation of 6th pay commission. HRA and TA should also be increased accordingly.

  5. This site is doing wonderful job for the central and state government employees. I think there will be 7% hike in DA w.e.f. 01.01.2011.

  6. Seasons Greetings and Best Wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2011. I expect that there will be at least a minimum of 8% of DA increase from January, 2011 since the food inflation rate rise from 18th December, 2010.

  7. I expect that there will be 8% increase in da as the calculation sheet of December 2010 is still awaited and food inflation rate increases upto 14.44% at the end of December 2010.

  8. think that Dearness allowance would be 7 or 8 percent for the month of january 2011. da is now september 2010 is 48.66 and approximately d a arrive 52 or 53 percentage. And as recommendation of 6cpc when da crossed the 50% then 25% allowance may be increased by GOI. That is the estimate for january da format is like this view. send comment to my email id cmijnd @gmail.com.in

  9. DA increment is not going to be more than 7 percentage nor it would be less than 6 percent. After DA cross 50 percent Basic is not going to be merge with DA. Monthly TA or HRA would also not going to increase proportionately.

  10. Thanks to your website for de-mystifying the process of DA Calculation. It is really a boon for the serving and retired employees alike. Please keep up the good work! All the very best!!

  11. To end of November DA has risen to 50%. We may expect 2 more percentage points by Dec 2010, bringing to 57%.Good luck everybody!

  12. I think the D.A. may likely to rise atleast 8% from January, 2011 as the food inflation pushed to 14.14% for the week ended 18th December, 2010 besides reent hike in petrol price. It is expected the inflation may further rise from 19th Dec. to 31-12-2010

  13. Since the hike in petrol and diesel prices, increase in of the prices of onion and vegetable oil, the da should be 3% for the november and overall it should be 8-9% for jan 2011

  14. This site is doing wonderful job for the central government employees. I think there will be 6-7% hike in DA w.e.f. 01.01.2011.
