DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

Dear Maghalingam & Karthik,
This is not a good news my dear friend but there is rule that the recommendation made by the pay commission is followed but it is sad that the 6th cpc has not made such recommendation i.e merger of 50% DA with pay.Hence Govt. will not annouance 50% merger of da with pay as there is no such recommendmation. Another quarry by karthik regarding 7th cpc, as per the constituation of India there is pay commission after every 10 years, so my dear friend 7th pay commission will be set up and you and every govt. employee will get the benfits of 7th cpc. You will get your pay revision only from 1/1/2016.
10%d.a.will be enough from july 2012
The 6th Pay Commission Report nowhere stated that 50% D.A. should not be merged with Pay/Pension. Hence the GOI must issue orders to merge 50% D.A. with Pay/Pension as done previously.
Is there any rule saying that there is no need to bring 7th pay commission in 10 years…
Dear sunil So it is not possible that 50% da will merged with the pay as there is no such recommendation by 6th central pay commission.very good news
This is my final comments on DA. Da from july’2012 is 7% and nothing more than that. As I was reading the comments of different persons in this blog let me clearfy that the AICPIN is released by Labour beaurea which comes under the ministry of statistics and programme implementation and the AICPIN data is released on last day of every month. Regarding merger of 50% DA it is not possible for the govt. because there is no such recomendation by 6th cpc. 50% DA was merged during 5th pay commission, as it was recomended by the 5th central pay commission. So it is not possible that 50% da will merged with the pay as there is no such recommendation by 6th central pay commission.
thanks.
The govt should merge 50percent with basic pay
Sorry Mr. Shekhar.
U R 100% right.
HIKE IN DA WEF 01 JULY 2012 W.R.T. AVERAGE INDEX WILL BE 7%.
Mr. Shekhar,
You are wrong. No enhanced D.A. paid to Pensioners than people in Govt. service. Do you know “Pension is a deferred Payment of salary”?
The 50% of DA from the total da should be got merged with the pension so that atleast certain amount of price hike could be managed at the oldage level due to meet out medicinal hike up in hospitals.
DA for pensioners should be more than what people in service get, because pension is almost 50% of the salary.
This is great news for Central Government Employees and Central Government Pensioners and Family Pensioners that from the month of July-2012 D.A. will increased by 7% to 8% (Expected). The statistics of AICPIN for the month of March by Labour Bureau and the for the month of April is upcoming statistics data. As per the AICPIN Statistical Data the Dearness Allowance approximate increased from 1.7.2012 to 7% to 8%. Your comments and emails are expected regarding Dearness Allowance. We expect the 01.07.2012.

S. Mr. Loganathan, u r 100% right. Govt. should not only merge DA and initiate action for 7th CPC, immediately.
according to da calculation sheet,da will be hike only 7%.
dear all friends DA FOR 01.07.2012. 7%CON NEWS
calculation formula for DA should be evolved considering the expenditure behavior of different salary groups. As expenditure behavior of the person earning Rs. 1,00,000 may not be same with the person earning Rs.15,000. Current DA formula is extremely favorable to the highest paid officials.
The govt.must initiate action to merge 50percent with basic pay immediately without further dely
The Govt. must initiate action to merge 50% of DA with basic pension immediately without further delay.
