  10. rajee kumar says:

da from jan 2012 would be atleat 65% i.e. 7% increase

  11. Karthik says:

I don’t think its the right calculation for DA……. There is a rise of 120% in the cost of Electricity , transportation and milk products in TamilNadu and its really going to affect the ppl badly.

  12. Hi Readers,

I think this time around DA from january’2012 is expected to be around 8% as per the latest indications of increase in Wholesale Price Index. I just want to ask the Govt., if DA goes beyond 50% there is an increase of 25% in various allowances and what about pensioners. Their Fixed Medical Allowances remains unchanged. To compensate their living standards, Govt. should release an additional 2%-3% DA.

  13. hanuman gupta says:

da increasment is less then creat deernes

  14. r.satyamoorthy says:

will there be a relief for pensioners by way of increase in relation to fixed medical allowancs as da has crossed 50 %(51%) from january 2011

  15. Anshul Agarwal says:

I think this is not a correct calculation against price increase it should be 20% atleast.

  16. RameshNair says:

Now at 19.34 hrs. on 30.11.2011, the CPIIW is not published for the month of October 2011. Then, how, igecorner.com has got the data and published as 198. Fantastic promptness and dedication.

  17. Anjay says:

Now it is clear that DA will be 7% wef 01.01.12 which will be declared in Apr/12

  18. RUDRA MADHAB MOHAPATRA says:

`DHARITRI’, 30/11 – ROURKELA CPI 213, TALCHER-ANGUL 208, MINIMUM GOVT DA WILL BE 65.42% ON JANUARY 1, 2012. THE MAXIMUM MAY VARY FROM 66.83 TO 71.03%. BANKCGMs & BELOW EXCEPT MYSORE & SALBONI(MIDNAPORE) WILL GET 63% ON FEBRUARY 1, 2012. INSURANCE CGMs & BELOW WILL GET 58.95% ON FEBRUARY 1, 2012. PUBLIC SECTOR EMPLOYEES WILL GET 56.47% ON JANUARY 1, 2012.

  19. The Govt declered if the DA exceed 50% then 50% DA will be merged to basic Pay/Pension. Then why the Govt is not implementing the same.

  20. R.Sundararajan says:

DA expected from January-2012 minimum 6% maximum 7%.Tamilnadu government increase the Milk, bus fare, and next month Eb charges trible times.

  21. Gopal Bagga says:

I would like to know the formula which Govt. has adopted. Prices are sky rocketing, Govt. gives DA only 1% every month. I request the Govt. to live in as general public lives and if they are able to manage, then there is no need of DA. What is fun in giving 6 or 7% DA Half Yearly. Let the Govt. honestly think and provide the relief which is required at present.

  22. nitin kumar says:

i m not satisfied with the rule of calculation formula

  23. ashish tiwari says:

    i expect atleast 12 %

  24. benedict das says:

i think the statistical records are not quite satisfying.we expect more than 8 percent da from january .i think central govt will look in to this matter

  25. BASAVARAJ M GUREMATTI says:

THE DA MUST BE 8% DUE TO INCRESE IN PRICE INDEX AND OTHER AREA’S LIKE SITE COST / BUILDING MATERIAL COST /LABOUR COST ETC

  26. ADITYA says:

Central govt.increased 25% allownces. But some STATES have no provision of such allownces. So there should be diffrent orders of minimum 5% D.A. for such states by central govt.& calculation base should be retail prices.

  27. Dr. B.S.N. Murthy says:

Sir, Government is calculating aicpin from whole sale price index, while consumers buy from retail markets. Thus this is an invalid da calculation. Government again charges IT on the da, which neutralizes the increased living expenses only partially, due to the above invalid da calculation. Therefore, Govt. must exclude entire da from the preview of IT, for employees, pensioners etc. This is absolutely necessary for pensioners and I would strongly suggest that Senior citizens drawing pension up to say 50,000/- per month should be exempted from IT and similar enhanced ceiling limit should be extended to all senior citizens, as their health care costs are much larger than others. Senior citizens are honorable elders, who worked their life time for the country and Government can not afford to I tax them any further.

  28. KAPIL GIRI says:

50 % DA SHOULD BE MERGED IN BASIC SALARY.

  29. shiv kumar yadav says:

  32. Sukhwinder says:

    Upto Nov 2011 AICPIN THERE WOULD B 63 PERCENT DA FROM NOV 2011 i think 65 to 66 % DA FROM 2012

  33. Sukhwinder says:

Anybody tell me ho to calculate the DA with the AICPIN

  34. Bannoth Prabhakar says:

the da should be 10 % from january 2012 onwards

  35. amit bhati says:

DA will be 7% only. wef-01Jan2012.DA will not merge in basic pay.It is clarified in 6CPC report.Every time when DA cross 50%, all the allowances increases @25%.it is true. thanks

  36. M.S. Mauji says:

Govt should declare the DA in the first week of January and July

  37. Subodh kumar NRBH says:

I think DA will be only @7% Jan 2012

  38. VIDYA BHUSHAN says:

Medical allowance for pensioners must be atleast Rs.1000/- p.m. as they have to spend sufficient amount of their pension on their medical bills.
We must follow the old procedure of merging 50% of D.A. in the basic pay/Pension.
    Thanx.

  39. aaaaaaa sssssss says:

DA rise is in no way comparable to actual price rise of commodities

  40. MAHENDRA M PATEL says:

Sir, Government is calculating aicpin from whole sale price index, while consumers buy from retail markets. Thus this is an invalid da calculation. Government again charges IT on the da, which neutralizes the increased living expenses only partially, due to the above invalid da calculation

  41. Supriya Kr. Roychoudhury says:

The AICPIN figure does not tally with the actual market price we face day to day and I think because of that the DA calculation not match with our expectation. Is it ?

    Regards,

  43. bhaskar says:

Dearness Allowance should be exempted from Income Tax payment, otherwise there is no meaning in giving DA to compensate for the price rise and then deduct IT on it. Govt should think on it?

  44. narender says:

it is hard to say that DA would be 7% because inflation rate is reducing now. I am not sure that DA would 7%. It will be 6% or 7%. Accurate figure will come in 1.02.2012 when inflation figure will come so wait for next month. And HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2012 to all.

  45. Sukhwinder says:

AICPIN FOR MONTH NOV 2011 IS 199 SO TELL ME WT RATE OF DA WOULD BE FROM JAN 2012

  46. dinesh says:

from jan 2012 DA will be 65% of basic pay its final no change

  47. vijay says:

da is very less as comparble to price rising day by day

  48. RUDRA MADHAB MOHAPATRA says:
