i HAVE RETIRED ON 30.9.2007. mY PENSION IS FIXED AT Rs.6525 W.E.F.1.10.2007 AND COMMUTED PENSION IS Rs.2175 and lumpsum COMMUTED PENSION IS 273006. REVISED PENSION IS FIXED AT rS.10580 W.E.F.1.10.2007 AND COMMUTED PENSION IS 3526(2175 + 1351)AND LUMPSUM GRANT IS RS.408717 (INCLUSIVE OF RS.273006 ALREADY GIVEN). RECOVERY OF RS.3526 IS MADE FOR 15 YEARS.AND THE ORIGINAL PENSION IS STILL TO BE RESTORED. MY QUESTION IS WHY THE RECOVERY IS MORE THAN THE AMOUNT GIVEN. WHETHER ANY INTEREST IS FIXED FOR THE LUMPSUM GRANT.I.E RECOVERY IS RS.3526 X 12 X 15 = 634680 WHEREAS LUMPSUM GRANT IS RS. 408717.
It will be restored to full in roughly 15 years. Later it will slowly pick up twice a year with increment in DR percentage declared. By the time you touch 80 years, add old age pension also. Your Basic also gets revised accordingly in the subsequent 8th and 9th CPC fixation.
