Due to COVID-19, Tamilnadu Government have decided to increase the age of superannuation of Government servants from 58 years to 59 years and orders accordingly. This will apply to all those who are in regular service as on date and due to retire on superannuation from 31.05.2020G.0.(Ms)No.51 dated 07.05.2020

Subsequently TN Government following ordersĀ 

  • Government have issued orders increasing the age of superannuation of Government servants from 58 years to 59 years. Consequent to the issuance of the above Government order, certain points have been raised for clarification. The Government have examined the same and the following clarifications are issued – Letter No.11308/S/2020-1, Dated 14.05.2020
  • TN Government released Amendment order stating that ” In the said Fundamental Rules, in rule 56, in sub-rule (1), in clause (a) and in the second proviso thereunder, for the expression ā€œfifty-eight yearsā€, the expression ā€œfifty-nine yearsā€ shall be substituted.”Ā  – G.O.(Ms) No. 62 dated 1st June 2020
  • PROVIDENT FUND ā€“ Subscription for the old period due to age of retirement on superannuation of superior service employees/teachers extended from 58 years to 59 years – Letter No.1074/FS/Fin. (Allowances) /2020, Dated 5th June 2020
