Strike is deferred, but the struggle shall continue – Confederation

Confederation Of Central Government Employees & Workers

DATED – 07.07.2016

Finally, the united struggle of 33 lakhs Central Government Employees under the banner of National Joint Council of Action (NJCA) comprising Railways, Defence and Confederation has compelled the totally negative and unwilling NDA Government to negotiate with the staff side leaders. Hon’ble Prime Minister has intervened and directed three Cabinet Minsters viz. Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitly and Railway Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu to hold discussion with the NJCA Leaders on 30th June 2016. After discussing the demands raised in the Charter of demands, the Ministers assured that a high level committee will be constituted to consider the demands raised by NJCA especially the demand for improving the minimum wage and fitment formula.

As no written communication or minutes regarding the assurances given by Group of Ministers is forthcoming, the NJCA met again and 6th July and decided to go ahead with the strike decision. Again Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh called the NJCA leaders for discussion on 6th July and reiterated the assurances already given on 30th June and stated that the Finance Minister will issue a press statement on 6th July itself confirming the assurances given by the Group of Ministers. It was further assured by the Minister that the proposed High level committee will submit its recommendations to Government within a time frame.

Accordingly, the Government issued the press statement and after detailed deliberations the NJCA unanimously decided to defer the indefinite strike till the committee finalizes its report. The press statement of the NJCA and the Government are attached.

  1. These union leaders are degrading the word comrades because they dont have fire in their doings. But funny thing is they give speeches like great revolutionary leaders. Nakarogey tho bhi tik hey but dont play with emotions of working class. Emotions bigthey nahi so dont try to sell great leaders.

  2. Not convinced sir with your claim. What happened to issue of MACP introduced by 6CPC, resulted in ruining of financial prospects many Group B & C employees but our esteemed representatives could not do anything for a decade and left members/ employees to fend themselves. Situation on this issue has not changed yet and same anomaly has been reinforced by 7CPC. Sir, don’t give false promise, it hurts. Simply admit that you are helpless before lobby of Group “A” services.
    Thanks,
    Yours faithfully,

  3. Intention of the Central govt. is doubtful as this govt. is anti employee as always. Must rethink & consider on staff side.

  4. After four months a new Committee will be formed, and the process will continue. CG employees will get nothing. NJCA Members are actually Government’s representative.

  5. Actually due to fear the unions deferred the strike as they have become paper tigers now and this thing Govt.knows well. After 4 months CG staff will get nothing. These unions have their internal interest and they only play with emotions of staff.

  6. Why you accepted for four months it is not short period again depression started in central government staff it is wrong decision please rethink

  7. Sarkar Ki intention is not good. 7th CPC ke Nam par dhoka Ho hai employees. Ke sath committees par committees betha kar sarkar employees ko murkh bana rahi. Ecos ne kiya nil. Other committees. Will do nothing . 2019 me sarkar ko change Karo.

  8. An employee drawing 30% HRA is losing 32% of his existing basic in terms of revised HRA as per 7cpc every month if allowances are not devised
