No deduction in allowances of Central Government employees, PIB Fact Check busts fake news

Fact Check Unit of Press Information Bureau has today clarified in a tweet that Central Government is not going to deduct allowances of Central Government Employees. The tweet was a fact check on a media report speculating that Government was planning such a move in response to the coronavirus crisis.

Thanks so much. one important point is that during the extended lock down period no public transport or call taxis in tamil nadu state whereas the many central govt offices are forcing the the requisite employees to the work through their own arrangements stating that transport allowance cut if the individual at least one day present . pl issue the proper guideline to the audit authorities and head of the office stating that if the employee away beyond 5 KM not to able to come the transport allowance cut some thing pl consider it at least during this lockdown. and should not spread rumour like this and make full stop for the same and issue clarity letter . pl do the needful regards
