Expected Dearness Allowance from July 2018

One of the important allowance for Central Government Employees is Dearness Allowance, always there are some expectations for Dearness Allowance percentage. Central Government will revise the DA twice in a year, on 1st January and 1st July. DA is a fully taxable allowance.

Central Government increased 2 per cent dearness allowance from the January 2018, so employees received 7 percent dearness allowance from the existing 5 percent.

Dearness allowance will be calculated from the AICPIN value, once the AICPI(IW) for a particular month is published by the Government,

How to calculate Dearness Allowance

Formula to calculate Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees after 1.1.2016

DA % = (Average of AICPIN for the past 12 months – 261.4) * 100 / 261.4

Expected DA from July 2018

Already visitors started predicting the DA value and started to update there comments in the DA Calculation Sheet Comment Section.

Now time to find out the Dearness Allowance from July 2018, based on our calculation with the assumption value there are chances to get only 2% Dearness Allowance from July 2018. But chances are there to get 3 percent of DA as well, incase of AICPIN value increase more than 3 points in the coming months.

However this is only the prediction, we have to wait until end of July 2018 to find the exact value of the Dearness Allowance. In the meantime check the DA Calculator to find the value

  1. What is my pension as on date service no 2477321x Havildar date of retirement 31 Dec 2002. Date of birth 13 Jul 1962

  2. This is related to the pay fixation of 7th CPC of central govt officers getting NPA.
    Those officers whose basic + GP in 6th CPC exceeded 70,000/- could not get 25% NPA as it was truncated to 15000/- (instead of 17500/-) due to overall ceiling of 85000/-.
    Now even in new pay fixation, instead of adding DA (125%) of 25% NPA, office is adding DA on truncated NPA and not 25% NPA [18750/- (125% of 15000) instead of 21875/- (125% of 17500)]. Will you please communicate which one is correct?

Just In
