DA Calculation Sheet

DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

  1. News Confirmed
by visiting Press Information Bureau Website
    —————–
    DA/DR increased from the existing 17 % to 28% from 1.7.2021.
    Increase 11 %

    28% was due from 1.1.2021.

Therefore , pension payable on 31.7.2021 will include DR at 28% of the basic pension ( 28% of basic + additional pension admissible to Pensioners aged 80 years and above) .

The expected DR due from 1st July 2021 is 31%. This will be confirmed when the Consumer price Index points for June 2021 are published by the Department of Labour on 30 / 31 July 2021. ( usually the CPI points for the previous month are published at the end of the succeeding month )

  2. The 48th meeting of the National Council JCM was held today under the chairmanship of the Cabinet Secretary. As a member of the Standing Committee, National Council, the undersigned participated in the meeting. The decisions taken on various issues raised are contained in the letter of the Secretary, Staff Side, JCM, Com.Shiv Gopal Mishra, who is also our President. On expenditure department related items, the official side has offered to hold bilateral discussions with the Staff Side. As you are aware, most of the issues are pending disposal at their end.
The question of DA/DR was raised by the Staff Side expecting some positive response from the Government. As expected the orders, if at all agreed by the Cabinet, will only be issued in September 2021 as I s the practice with the release of July related Dearness allowance/Relief. The Health Ministry has promised to hold a bilateral discussion with the staff side in the matter of health insurance scheme. Now that our proposal is with the government we may expect a fruitful discussion on the issue.
    With greetings,
    Yours fraternally,
    Sd/-pensioner asso.

  3. Service class is a class who is selfish. Poor people are suffering but we want only our pay. It is pity educated people are saying like this

    • ??

  4. That’s Not acceepted sir we too have waited for 18months. Government must pay our dues it’s our right msmes are paid enough then why only we should suffer better plan for a ssyir you’ll we get our dues

  5. Kindly don’t expect more from this government what they have given that we have to accept, because no body can question them.

  6. Since the elections are mostly over now, the chances of releasing the three installments of DA are very bleak. Rest is History.

    • The chances of releasing full DA/DR due w.e.f.July 21
appears to be very remote in view of covid 2nd phase but some thing will be granted to poor employees and pensioners
followed by big speeches about it.

      • Good answer. That only will happen. Currently DA is 28%, but they will not give the same. They may give like between 21 and 25%. All will be happy. Employees will be happy because at least they got something. Govt will be happy because they saved money for UP election.

  7. There is something wrong in given table about month Feb 2021 about CPI
    119×2.88=342.72====@343
For 342 CPI should be 118.9

  8. Cpi is fig for Feb is released and stands at 119. So please calculate the da entitlement for this index fig. Thanks.

  9. HRA SHOULD BE INCREASED BY 2% WHEN DA CROSSES 25%.THOUGH DA HAVE CROSSED 25% . SO GOVT . SHOULD INCREASE HRA. QUESTION SHOULD BE RAISED IN JCM MEETINGS

  10. In 7 cpc RECOMMENDATION being made that when DA CROSS 25% THAN HRA SHOULD BE INCREASED BY 2%. SO I GOVERNMENT THINKING ON THIS OR EMPLOYEES WILL HAVE TO SUFFER

    • For calculating DA places are divided into 3 categories. Employees in X zones will get 27% (increase of 3%) when DA crosses 25%, similarly those in Y category will get 18% (increase of 2%), whereas those serving in Z category will see a rise of 1% only, from 8% to 9% when DA crosses 25% mark.

  11. The trend on AICPI is down hill even though prices are sky rocketing up!!.
This appears to be managed to bring it down so that AICPI DOES NOTCross 25 to save the govt from havìng to pay increased allowance to central govt employees.
