Office Memorandum

Subiect :- Implementation of Government’s decision on the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission – Revision of pension of pre- 2O16 pensioners / Family Pensioners etc.-reg.

Attention is invited to para 2[ii) of this office OM No. CPAO/ IT&Tech/Revision (7th CPC)/19 [vol-III)/ 2016-17/ 41 dated-06.06.2017 on the above subject where it has been provided that “The credit of revised pension in the bank accounts of pensioners / family pensioners and payment of arrears should be in a time bound manner after receipt of Revision Authority from CPAO [through electronic mode). lt should not be later than the next due date of credit of pension in the pensioners accounts.”

But analysis of the payment of arrears reveals that most of the banks are not maintaining the above provision. Finance secretary in his review meeting has expressed his concern on the delay by the banks. Therefore, Heads of CPPCs and Heads of Government Business Departments of all the authorized banks are requested to ensure the compliance of the above provision.

This issues with the approval of the competent authority

  1. in case the arrears are not p[aid by next pension payment date interest at 12% be paid to the pensioner for the delayed period and it is recovered personally from the salary of the conserned bank staff proportionate to their rank. Then u will see that payments are made quickly by working overtime by the bank staff. Gopalaswamy Honnavalli

  2. no 7th CPC yet for Kendriya vidyalaya pensioners.Even DA/DR from july 2016 with held,no medical allowance of Rs 1000 given.Feel ashamed of it while talking of development of india
