Change in criteria for benchmarking of ACR

The Government of India has accepted the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission with regard to Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) scheme and withholding of annual increments as under:-

(i) Benchmarking for performance appraisal for promotion and financial upgradation under MACPS to be enhanced from ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’.

(ii) Withholding of annual increments in the case of those employees, who are not able to meet the benchmark either for MACP or a regular Promotion within the first 20 years of service.

This was stated by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question by Shri Rajeev Shukla in the Rajya Sabha today .

  1. My basic is rs 12250+4200+2000 = 18450
    Basic+grade pay+msp
    What will be my basic
I am in Indian army and group X soldier

  2. This will enhance the buttering process to bosses there by the main purpose is being lost. Always bosses will try to show their bossism immaterial of the work output, whether it is required or not.

  3. but thats not some how very appreciable…it would increase, appeasing the boss and the yes boss culture which already exists in the government set up.
you work or not if you can keep your boss happy, every thing is ok but the moment you try to put in good work you get on the wrong side of the boss…and thats some how not good for ACR
so goverment should think twice or should make some alternate arrangement so a goverment servant could spell out his inputs with proof and if required …to be veryfied by a senior
