Shri Arun Jaitley,
Hon’ble Finance Minister,
(Government of India),
North Block,

Raisina Hills,

Dear Sir, ‘

Sub: Seventh CPC Report – Minimum wage and Multiplier Factor for Central Government Employees – reg.

******

At the outset, NFIR conveys its sincere thanks to you for the statement issued by the Finance Ministry at 20:50 Hrs on 6th July 2016 that the issues relating to pay scales raised would be considered by a High Level Committee. NFIR is also thankful for your free and frank discussions with us on 30th June 2016 at the residence of Hon’ble Home Minister wherein Hon’ble Railway Minister Sh. Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of, State for Railways Sh. Manoj Sinha, took part.

NFIR further mentions that the Finance Ministry has since issued notifications on the basis of Union Cabinet’s decisions dated.29th June 2016 for implementation of revised Pay Matrices and pay fixation etc. The Railway employees numbering over 1.3 million are anxiously awaiting for setting up of High Level Committee which would facilitate Employees’ Federations to explain the logic and merits for revision of minimum wage and the multiplier factor.

The NFIR, therefore, requests you to kindly take initiative for constituting High Level Committee at the earliest. It may also be appreciated that the “strike action” by the Central Government Employees which include Railway employees was deferred on the night of 6th July 2016, after the statement for setting up of the High Level Committee was released by the Finance Ministry. In view of this, it would be necessary to set up the High Level Committee without further delay.

With regards,

Yours faithfully,

(Dr. M. Raghavaiah)
General Secretary

  1. NJCA beware all govt staff are watching your actios with a great deal of suspicion. It’s time for you to perform or perish! If you’re fearless and don’t seek personal favours from govt, then take a bold decision, else fear the the govt and perish!

  2. It is nothing but begging without fighting with the government regarding fitment factor and minimum wage. The Ministers given assurance, but they differed their assurance now the leader are begging for minimum wage and fitment factor without going to strike from 11.7.2016. What a joke it is ?

  3. Yes it was a joke with employees of lower Pay scales as their children cannot studies in English schools and if Pay of theses employees will be enhanced then they were capable to take the burden of these schools and if they are highly qualified then who will serve these leaders/ Beuroocrates and Judges. This government showed that they are only for digital India for themselves and corporate clients houses not for the poor people. Already an poor people cannot eat pulses fruits and nuts they’re only taken birth to serve country and dies on borders and thereafter a meagre pension to their families and crying whole life. Wah kaya achhe dinn?????????

  4. Ha!ha!ha! These poor folks are begging to appoint a committe! That too with a man known for his for the apathy to the working class and middle class. Neither Mr.Modi nor Mr, Arun Jaitley is sympathetic to the cause of common man. Especially Jaitley is a hater of middle class

  5. Do not expect more without struggle that former government who initially assured to give minimum Rs. 20000/- basic salary to lowest level employee but accepted recommendations of 7th CPC Report as it is, fulfills demands of central government employees. It should also required to be considered before showing faith of Finance Ministry that on the “strike action” by the Central Government Employees which was deferred on the night of 6th July 2016, after the statement for setting up of the High Level Committee was released by the Finance Ministry, till date no High Level Committee is set up. Therefore be ready to fight against them at any point of time at any level.

  6. It is exactly ‘BEGGING’ as pointed out in previous comments..Even during Mrs Gandhi period, our leaders had the spine to call shots against the government and able to show their strength by successfully conducting All India Railway strike. Those days, there was no fear in their minds as there hands were clean.Nowadays, since their hands are not clean, there is fear in their approach and actions. So for the sake of covering up their followers, they are doing all the drama.Nowadays the ministers and the government are more smarter and they know where to strike these people and how to deal them.Ultimately only the innocent employees are the scapegoats.

  7. dear union leaders it is very clear from past two year s how govt is cheating govt employee by forming so many committees and again asking from unions side for further cheating is a big joke stop all these drama and fight for our genuine rights and prove your leadership common common common wake-up
