The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modihas approved release of an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensionersw.e.f. 01.01.2017. It has increased by 2% over the existing rate of 2% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise.

This increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief would be Rs. 5,857.28 crore per annum and Rs.6,833.50 crore in the Financial Year 2017-18 (for a period of 14 months from January, 2017 to February, 2018).

This will benefit about 48.85 lakh Central Government employees and 55.51 lakh pensioners

  1. At the time of giving any increase in pay or pension the government think about assessing the viability of Autonomous bodies. Why can’t it be done periodically. Why the same assessment is not done to ministries & Railways before implementation of 7 CPC to Central Government Employees. Autonomous bodies do not have strong unions so it can be kicked about. Pensioners do not have any stake on assessment of their Autonomous bodies. Why to deny their rightful dues. If a government is a caring one it should resort to such practices.

  2. We the pensioners of ICAR APPEAL to H0n’bless Prime Minister to implent the recommendations of 7th pay Commission as enjoying & implemented for working g emcees of ICAR which is to be granted immediately as SOS in interest of pensioners who have already scarce resources as compared to needs. Moreover this is causing great concern and anxiety rather feel dejected pensioners who should have given the first priority. We are always faith in BJP for employees friendly. Since our Prime Minister Hon’ble Shri Narender Modi is very popular and realise the needs of service class I am surprised to witness such step motherly rather inhuman treatment for ICAR PENSIONERS who are deprived of benefits of 7th Pay Commission. Please treat it as SOS.

  3. The Payment of DR w.e.f. 1-7-2016 to KVS pensioners is due. The reasons are not known. The Government has to clarify why the KVS pensioners are getting such step mother treatment. Even for getting DR also the Government is making the pensioners eagerly waiting . The pensioners are to be treated with dignity.

  4. Why Dearness Relief orders for pensioners/family pensioners of Central Autonomous Organisations have not been issued till date? Isn’t it shocking. While the employees of Central Autonomous Organisation got 7% DA from 1st July 2016 and another installment of 4% DA from 1st January 2017 on the baias of 6th Pay Commission index, why pensioners/family pensioners of Central Autonomous Organisations are being ignored.? I have written to PM Grievances and two letters to Dr Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Pension and Public Grievances and marked copy to Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Hon’ble Minister for Culture but no response till date..Is this the way of Government to treat retired Senior Citizens?

  5. I request to PM Shri N. Modi Ji Sir You given DA to Central Govt and Autonomous bodies’ employee’s wef 1.7.2016 but DR not given to Autonomous bodies pensioners. wef 1.7.2016, 1.1.2017 or NO ORDERS REGARDING IMPLEMENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS OF 7th CPC IN RESPECT OF EMPLOYEES OF AUTONOMOUS BODIES IN THE MATTER OF PENSION ARE TO BE ISSUED BY FINANCE MINISTRY. This is the first govt after independence of India which is treating its employees with different yard sticks, Administrative Ministry/Department n not be issued orders releasing the dearness relief to pensioners of central autonomous organizations. I Registered your Grivance Registration Number is : DOPPW/E/2017/02960 PMOPG/E/2017/0115720 DOPPW/E/2017/03242, DOPPW/E/2017/04085, PMOPG/E/2017/0148952, , PMOPG/E/2017/0123641

  6. CSIR pensioners are getting their pension only on 6th CPC rate. No DA hike since 7/2016……..Whereas the regular staff are enjoying all the benefits….What a pitiful situation . 7th cpc in the name of Autonomous bodies perhaps 1st time since independence of india.

  7. Don’t get disgruntled………You will get your dues. Banks are not getting synchronised with Govt instructions. It is pathetic. Someone at the helm of affairs should take a note of this. The lethargic attitude of banks is not acceptable which is demoralising in service employees and pensioners.

  8. No achhe din for central government pensioners.Ministers r enjoying but ordinary people still struggling, think of ordinary people. With so much faith we elected you

  9. Empty vessels sound much. The govt is expert in speech but not in action.July 2016 DR not yet given to KV pensioners. 7th cpc is a distant dream. Most CG employees have been deprived of 7th cpc in the name of Autonomous bodies perhaps 1st time since independence of india.

  10. ICAR pensioners are getting their pension only on 6th CPC rate. No DA hike since 7/2016……..Whereas the regular staff are enjoying all the benefits….What a pitiful situation !!!!!!

  11. PL. provide fitment formula of DA for 6th CPC salary getters.
Unless all organizations release 7th CPC salary it should be
    automatically declared by govt.

  12. KVS pensioners have not received the increase approved earlier due from July 2016 yet. So the increase in D.A approved now does not bring any cheers to KVS pensioners. Amongst all “Achhe din” only KVS pensioners are going through “Bure din”..
