OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Revision of Special Allowance and Cash Handling Allowance as a result of enhancement of Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 1.1.2011-
This Department has been receiving references regarding revision of Special Allowance and Cash Handling Allowance subsequent to increase in the rate of DA @ 51% w.e.f. 1.1.2011.
2. This Department’s O.M No.4/6/2008-Estt.(Pay II) dated 1st October,2008 states that the rates of Special Allowance and Cash Handling Allowance will be automatically increased by 25% every time the Dearness Allowance payable on revised pay scales goes up by 50%.
3. All Ministries/Deptts. are, therefore, advised to take necessary action accordingly.

The Pensioners must be given suitable special allowance if D.A. crosses 50% mark. The Govt, must be liberal towards Senior Citizens
SHIMLA, 30/9 – GOVT DA WILL BE 64% ON JANUARY 1, 2012.
What happened to orders of GOI towards D.A. enhancement w.e.f. 1-7-2011? Till date not issued? The Rajasthan Govt. deserve appreciation for having issued the D.A. enhancement orders on the same day of announcement by GOI.
The Govt. (both State and Central) issues full page advertisement in dailies greeting Senior Citizens on the eve of “International Day of Older Persons” as if they are really caring for Senior Citizens. But D.A. orders are yet to be issued (except Rajasthan Govt) to Pensioners; whereas the D.A. to serving employees already issued. Mere paper publicity will not help the Senior Citizens; they need timely help. Will the respective State & Central Governments issue D.A. enhancement orders alongwith serving employees at least in future?
WHY THE FRESH ORDER REQUIRED TO ISSUE? ORIGINAL ORDER ITSELF SAYS AUTOMATICALLY INCRESED TO 25% WHEN THE DA REACHES 50%

Sir, Is there any order issued regarding enhancement of Hotel rent due to increase of DA more than 50% of basic?
The Central Govt. to please think about some additional enhancement every time for their pensioners while increasing DA (twice in a year) . Otherwise the poor pensioners will be fallen behind( from monetory point of view ) form the serving C.G. employees year by year. So it is a humble prayer to the Hon’ble Fin. Minister, G.O.I. from all the pensioners to consider the above request in favour. Thanks.
Is there any order of DOPT for enhancement of hotel rent and food bill due to increase of DA @ 51% wef 1-1-11
`DHARITRI’, 30/11 – ROURKELA CPI 213, TALCHER-ANGUL 208, MINIMUM GOVT DA WILL BE 65.42% ON JANUARY 1, 2012. THE MAXIMUM MAY VARY FROM 66.83 TO 71.03%. BANKCGMS & BELOW EXCEPT MYSORE & SALBONI(MIDNAPORE)WILL GET 63% ON FEBRUARY 1, 2012. INSURANCE CGMs & BELOW WILL GET 58.95% ON FEBRUARY 1, 2012. PUBLIC SECTOR EMPLOYEES WILL GET 56.47% ON JANUARY 1, 2012.
i am working as a statistical investigator gr(II) and with that I am handling library too. Is there any allowance or special pay for that
